Exploring the dynamic Universe with UVEX

UVEX is an upcoming widefield ultraviolet space telescope to be launched in 2030. It will provide unique insights into the evolution of low-mass galaxies, low-metallicity stars, and transient events such as neutron star mergers and stellar explosions. Learn more.

UNIGE contribution

As a partner of the UVEX mission, the University of Geneva will be in charge of the design of the UVIM door of the telescope, the Center of Expertise for European collaborators, and the eloboration of simulation-based forecasts regarding the detection and observation of ionising radiation in star-forming galaxies.
